Relationships are hard. Parents, siblings, bosses, co-workers, roommates, neighbors, children,… spouses. All of these bring varying levels of stress and conflict. One reason for this is because in each of these relationships, different people with different preferences and personalities (and sin patterns) are brought together in close proximity with another sinner. Eventually and inevitably, the sin of one begins to aggravate and irritate the sin of the other. Like some volatile, chemical reaction which leads to “bubbling” and sometimes even explosions. In no relationship does this occur in a more evident and observable way than in marriage.
During the month of August, we are taking a brief pause in our normal pattern of preaching through entire books of the Bible so that we might consider the topic of how the Gospel message of Jesus impacts the ways in which we relate to others, especially (though not exclusively) in the area of marriage.
We invite you to join with us on this journey, trusting that God will achieve both our greatest good and His own greatest glory through these messages.
