During the Holiday Season, many of us often end up searching for ways to serve others who are either marginalized or less fortunate than ourselves. There are few in our society who fit this description more than the children in our foster care system. Alabama Baptist Children’s Home has been doing great work in this area for years. They have an established track record of serving the most vulnerable among us, while also offering high quality training and support to the many foster families in our city and state who make great sacrifices to care for these children.
This Advent season, we at Bluff Park Community Church would like to come alongside Alabama Baptist Children’s Home as they seek to “Serve the Servants.” Below you will find two lists of items needed by these children and the foster families seeking to care for them.
Here’s how you can help.
- Print / save the lists below.
- Next time you are at the store (Wal-Mart, Target, etc) , simply pick up a couple of the items on this list.
- Throughout the month of December, bring these purchased items to worship at Bluff Park Community Church (Sundays @ 5pm) and place them in the clearly marked tubs.
- After the final Sunday of December, we will then deliver the collected items to the Alabama Baptist Childrens Home.
