You and I long for community. In fact, we were created for it. But since Genesis 3, community and communion have not come naturally. A quick look at the news headlines or our seldom used dinner tables bear testimony to this fact. It is simply too easy for us to follow our first parents lead in hiding from one another and hiding from our Creator.
Christ has come to restore what was lost. Christ has come so that our relational God might call to himself a people from every tribe, tongue and people group. Christ has come so that we might once again live as a people in community with our Father in heaven and with one another.
Over the coming weeks we will dive into the Scriptures together, looking at this Biblical concept of community, what it is and how we are called to pursue it.
